Evening Prayer of Focus
Thank you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Once again, You have shown Yourself
to be faithful and true to Your promises
through the moments and hours of this day.
You have spoken, and we have turned
our hearts to listen.
You have acted, and we have turned
our hearts to see what You have accomplished.
You have loved us well in body and soul
and for that we are eternally grateful.
Let Your grace and presence both
surround and embrace us in this time together.
In Jesus' living name, we come. Amen

For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me." In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me." Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming.
See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop
patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. (James 5:7 NIV)
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials. (James 1:2 ESV)
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial,
for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life,
